We have grown tired of buying new Easter baskets every year. They are either really cheap and don’t make it through the day, or kind expensive and still don’t make it through the day. Anyone else in this boat? We have also grown tired of that super messy plastic stringy grass we use to fill the bottom of the crappy baskets. Every single year the peeps get one bite out of them and then they get plastic stringy grass stuck to them. There are also jelly beans and half eaten Reese’s eggs stuck in there. Then the kids dump it all out to separate the sticky candies from the sticky plastic grass. Seriously, it’s a mess. So, our two problems: 1. spending money every year on crappy baskets and 2. super messy plastic stringy grass. We have come up with a solution to both!
Solution #1- Real Deal Baskets.
We hit our favorite local Thrift Store (aka the DI) and in one trip we found 5 awesome baskets. Because they are actual baskets, they are going to last…….like forever. Guess how much? $2 a piece! What?! That’s cheap, and they are so cute! Traditional, real Easter baskets that we’ll use every year. Problem #1 solved!
Our kids are so excited about their baskets! And we are so excited to not be having stringy plastic grass stuck to peeps laying all around the house! Happy Friday everyone! Don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a cute toddler infinity scarf and toddler bow tie-they are adorable!! Go HERE to enter-it’s easy. 🙂
Here’s hoping for some warmer temperatures for the weekend!
