Spring fever strikes again! We just finished Breken’s bedroom makeover. It looks so much better! Brighter and cleaner and just better – love a good room makeover! It makes me want to overhaul every room in my house!
Let’s just jump right to a couple BEFORE and AFTER pics.
Step one of course: Clear the room and patch the walls.
The room already had a chair rail on all the walls, so we (Steffany’s husband Lee, that it 🙂 cut bead board to fit under the existing chair rail.
Next, caulk, tape, and paint. Remember our weekend trip to Vegas? (See the post HERE.) We hit the Swap meet there and bought a gallon of gray paint for $5 – Score!
We put crown molding around the top of the room. It makes for a custom, finished look.
Breken LOVES Lego’s! (See his Lego birthday party HERE.)This Lego table is the perfect play top for him to build away. It’s just an inexpensive table from Walmart that we glued Lego sheets onto. We used E6000 and it’s holding up like a dream!
Breken loves hats about as much as he loves Lego’s. He almost always has a hat on. This piece of old wood salvaged from an old fence and some hooks is perfect for storage and display. We brushed it with a light coat of the gray paint for a white washed look. It really makes the hooks pop!
All the toys are now in the closet where the door can be shut. 🙂 We also made some faux Roman Shades for the window, we’ll be doing a tutorial for that later.
These Super hero tin posters are another score from our Swap Meet in Vegas. Breken totally loves them!
Books in a cool old Coca Cola crate. Perfect.
Such a difference! We love it!
We also have the winners of the toddler infinity scarf and bow tie!
Congratulations to Jenna Lowder Transtrum and Allison Worthy! We’ll be in touch!
