Happy Transformation Tuesday! This weeks transformation is my entry table. It’s a table my husband custom built for the space. I love it! But a couple months ago we put white planks up the wall behind the table (tutorial for that coming soon!) so the table just blended in with the wall. Rather than paint the whole table Steff and I decided to just stain the top for some contrast. Remember THIS coffee table and THIS dining table with the same idea? We are really loving the painted furniture with stained tops!
Step 1: Sand the top to get down to the bare wood.
Step 2: Minwax Wood-Sheen in Colonial Walnut. This is our favorite stain EVER! It is water based, dries super fast, is very easy to use and looks gorgeous!
I found a couple baskets on clearance at Hobby Lobby-perfect!
Let’s see the difference one more time. 🙂
We think it looks just right! Much less boring. 🙂
Can’t wait to share the whole wall with you! I’m finishing it all up this week. I’m also working on my kitchen cabinet post, it’s been one year now since I finished them……time flies. 🙂 Have a great day!
