DIY Dessert Stand from Dollar Store Supplies

August 18, 2014 By: Melanie

It’s been nothing but crickets here on the blog for a couple weeks.  It’s been a wild couple weeks-I lost my wallet (or it was stolen)  which threw me off for days.  What  a headache!  Then there was a couple sick days which always requires a couple catch up days.  Then my moms dog died, my girls adored this sweet dog.   Downer Debbie here, right?!  I know, but things are getting back on track!  On top of it all, we’re trying to squeeze every drop of summer fun we can before the kids go back to school.  So while it’s been a rough couple weeks, we’ve got some awesome and great things coming  that Steff and I are so excited about!  Be sure to stay tuned!  Now on to a project. 🙂

Today we’re sharing a darling DIY dessert stand made from supplies at the Dollar Store!  I hosted a baby shower for my sister-in-law a couple months ago and made this stand that only cost $4!  Not only is it cheap to make but super easy too!  DIY Dessert Stand dollar store

What you need:

From the Dollar Store-

  • One large pizza pan
  • One package of stove burner covers
  • Two crystal candle holders

Other supplies-

  • Spray Paint
  • E6000 Glue

You can see where this is going I’m sure!  First spray paint the pizza pan and burner covers.  Stand them on soup cans for easier access to all the sides.DIY Treat Stand Dollar Store (3)

Then just use E6000 to glue the candlesticks and pans together.  Mine is not perfectly centered, I insist on eye balling about everything I do.   A little measuring to find the exact center of each pan would probably be smart. 🙂

Let the glue dry at least overnight before using.  Then it’s ready to display pretty little treats!

Love a good cheap, easy and useful project!  I have already used it a couple times and it looks great each time.  Here’s to hoping for no more crickets around here. 🙂
