Halloween Pallet

October 14, 2014 By: Melanie

halloween pallet (13)

Back in March we replaced our kitchen floor.  The new tile was delivered on these heavy duty pallets and I have just held on to them knowing we’d come up with something awesome.  I think we did!  I wanted something a little different for my outside Halloween display, but it had to be quick and easy, and free is nice too. 🙂  We made this baby without one trip to the store.  Yes! And it was seriously easy.  Let’s get to it!

The pallet:  Halloween Pallet (1)

Tape off the word BOO.  We simply used the lines on the pallet as a guide.  Halloween Pallet (8)

Use something to round off the corners (like the edge of the tape roll),  and a box cutter to do the cutting.

Next, paint the whole thing white and let dry.Halloween Pallet (4)

Then tape off a couple stripes and paint.  Halloween Pallet (3)

Once all the paint is dry, peel off the tape to see the magic!Halloween Pallet (2)

Last, we used a small paint brush to outline the letters.  They just needed a little extra pop.halloween pallet (14)

Add a bail of straw and some pumpkins and- Ta-da!  So easy, and unique!halloween pallet (11)

Have we mentioned our love for pumpkins?  🙂halloween pallet (10) halloween pallet (12) halloween pallet (9)

We have one more pallet……maybe something for Christmas?  Now if we could just finish up our Halloween costumes. 🙂
