Less than TWO weeks to Christmas now! Whoa! December flies by every time. Are you ready for it? I’m close….there’s always those last minute items that I just haven’t gotten to yet. I’m hoping to finish up in the next day or two and then focus on a couple service/gift giving projects with my girls.
Today though, I wanted to pop in and share this cute gumball machine filled with reindeer treats and a sign to go with it. I put this together last week on a whim after I spotted this gumball machine sitting empty in my moms pantry. I was so excited about my idea that I didn’t even think about any step by step pictures, but no worries; step by step pictures aren’t really necessary for this one. To make the sign though, you’ll need a Silhouette cutting machine, or head to your closest neighbor or friend who has one! 😉
Here’s what else you’ll need:
- Gumball machine
- Oats
- Christmas sprinkles
- Box sign
- Red vinyl
- Reindeer Treats design from the Silhouette store
I got this box sign from the Wood Connection. You could use a wood block, or a picture frame as well.
All I did is take apart the gumball machine, the same way you would to add gumballs, except I pulled the glass bowl all the way off. I placed some aluminum foil in the base of the machine to prevent oats from messing with the moving parts for later use. Then I put the glass bowl back on, filled it with oats and Christmas sprinkles, and put the lid back on. Reindeer Treats!
This sign is just a design I purchased from the Silhouette Studio store. I cut it onto red vinyl and placed the vinyl on the back side of the box sign. This sign is 8 x 10, just FYI. 🙂
I love how it turned out! The girls are excited to sprinkle some Reindeer Treats on the lawn on Christmas Eve. Until then though, I love looking at this cute display!
Hope you have a great day!
